NC Iowa | the different states account for some of the difference. i of minnesota has higher ag land tax. i know they talked about the county's increase tax base when they went in. maybe it helped but taxed never went down even with the many in the county.
the main issue with them is they make the entire electrical grid less stable. the coal plants have to be on standby all the time in case the wind stops.
the rock island clean line is a priviate company that is trying to get eniment domain for high voltrage dc current lines to carry wind power from south dakota to chicago. don't want to use current right of ways but go right through. i don't know if anything has been decided yet but glad their route wasn't through my farm.
i thought they were ok at first but now 100's of them everywhere. anyway, glad they are working for you.
