NE Iowa | If you have another bull that can cover for him, then I would hold him back and retest. We've had a couple mid-aged bulls over the years that just simply stopped producing semen at a point. We had them re-tested later with same results - nothing. No explanation. Hopefully that hasn't happened for him, hopefully it was just a test that he didn't release the semen, but it's possible. With those results I wouldn't run him with any more cows that you need bred until he's retested successfully, but I would give him a retest if you've got bulls to get by in the meantime. | |
