Madison Co. Virginia | I have no experience, but I have heard a caution from someone who used steel tracks over tires. A rock getting lodged in the tracks can bend the axle and/or the axle housing in a hurry. He pointed out that one of their machines had that happen. Fortunately the axle was fine, but the axle housing was bent, so the wheel rode at a slight angle from then on. I'd guess that if you have a lot of 10-20 pound rocks floating around in all that mud, you might consider skipping the track-over-wheel concept. | |
