Subject: RE: Dregol.com

Short of a system restore, the usual free reference anti-virus from Malwarebytes might be able to help:
https://www.malwarebytes.org/
They also have a free anti-rootkit in their "Downloads" section that would be good to run to quarantine all other identified threats.

Dregol appears as a set of browser add-ins/plug-ins that apparently make it hard to uninstall.
Try also to identify these malicious processes in Task Manager or Windows Sysinternals Process Explorer, and in msconfig. Click on the Start button or press the Start key, and type msconfig.exe then select the executable file in the list of results, open the Startup tab to unselect things that should not be there*.

Check the list of add-ons/plug-ins in your browsers and try to uninstall the ones you didn't install willingly, do the same for the applications in the Programs and Features Control Panel (app Dregol or Run_Dregol.) You'll probably need to reset your home page, the New Tab page or the default Search engine of your browsers too. There's usually an option for that in your browser Tools/Options/Preferences/Settings or whatever it's called. It's in the "General" tab in Firefox, for instance, and you can also repair/refresh the installation in "?|Troubleshooting".

Gather all these tools in a "Security" Start menu like below. I moved mine from the Accessories submenu to the root. Right-click on the Start button to open the Start menu folder, go from there to the All users folder to make sure all these security apps are available to anyone logged into that computer if you use different accounts.

*How the heeck do I know what things "should not be there?"
Good question. ;)
