I am not saying it is not possible.  But the Laser printer sitting on my desk draws 10 amps at 120V.  I have an 800 watt inverter.  It draws too much current to be plugged in a cigarette lighter and has to have a direct battery connection.  It is rated at 6.65 amps output.  It will take a very large inverter to run a laser printer and it will have to have a very good battery (or batteries) behind it to run a laser printer.  Most consumer grade inverters for passenger car use are not going to handle it.

You must have a hell of a laser printer because mine only pulls 610 watts or a little over 5 amps.
