One year in the midst of transforming to no till, I mounted nozzles on the front of my field cultivator and hitched my 3 point sprayer to apply 32% and stir it in the top 2" of soil. It made concrete on top with mellow ground below. Later I went to applying half my N with the planter (slows planting but gets it done timely) and side dressed the rest. I put the planter application 2-1/4" from the row.
