Central Texas | Ryegrass makes great hay if cut when it just heads out but if let get too mature before cutting the stems resemble bailing wire. Well not quite that bad but best description I can think of. Can be difficult to get cured at that time of year but good hay if made right. Not sure would make the deal without seeing the hay in the bale first, better yet feed a roll of it. I take it he is wanting to trade 2015 crop hay for the calf. | |
