Subject: Some kind of Soybean option spread on a bearish report?

My contacts say that this summer is going to decline as far as growing conditions as we go forward.. and in fact the crop that could get nailed the worse would be Soybeans.

Say the surveys are correct and we get a bearish report later today in the beanies.. Would this be an opportunity to position ourselves for fireworks later this summer?

What kind of option strategy could someone look at that would give us exposure to a run higher later this summer...???

Who knows?  Maybe it's too soon yet.. I'm sure the bears are just chomping on the bit to sell this thing off.. and they're gonna hit beanies.. but there's an opportunity there somewhere...

If they hammer the beanies too hard.. there's still time to dump acres.. and we probably really do need more feed grains.. The Ohio Valley and the South are off to a slow start.. guys probably need to try to put all the feed grains in that they can...???

We'll know here soon... how it looks to the gov't..

Good luck everybody..  later.
