I help a guy out here work his cattle. In the spring they get 7 way. In the fall we pull em off the cow on a weekend. he lets em stand on hay till they stop balling maybe a week 10 day then to the sale i can only emagin the proublems that could be. and thats not the buyer or state they come from it is the ranch.
I think a healthy calf starts with a cow that has good nutrition in the right condition.
