When we farrowed we used the side cutter method.  We processed the litter at one day old..  Gave iron shot.  Had one side cutter for teeth and tails and a smaller surgical steel side cutter for castrating.  Just hold pig in one hand.  Snip, pull, snip, pull.  Even my wife got good at it and could process a litter in no time.
