I like moving a little trash with the row cleaners. Not all of it. More important to wait to plant til the ground is fit. Sometimes it takes a few more days for the wheat stubble to dry out. If the top inch is dry way less likely to crust.
That said, probably millions of acres planted successfully without cleaners so.....
