Subject: RE: Farming, like any job?

Cleveland, MS. Own small farm near Booneville, MS
"Drove" while sitting in Dad or older brother's lap on a JD "H" or a 50 as far back as I can remember. Was disking and other tillage jobs by 8. First tractors I drove by myself were JD 520 and 3010. Was cultivating by the time I was 9 or 10. That 520 had the rear exhaust with the muffler mounted horizontally on the right side of the engine, right above were Dad mounted the row marker for the rear mounted cultivator. The heat coming off that thing on a day when it was already 95 in the shade was brutal.
