Wisconsin | Thinking about new closing wheels I'd like to try this year for no-till corn and beans. Soil is heavy silt loam, field conditions vary from 100% residue covered CoC to alfalfa sod. I prefer running one JD rubber wheel per row versus two of the alternatives. Here's the list:
A) Martin spade
B) Yetter spike w/ the "gauge" ring
C) Thompson w/ toe out wedge
Pretty much can't decide between these 3, so the most NAT votes gets a trial this year. Thanks!
Additional setup info: I run Yetter Titan row cleaners with the regular tine cleaners. I do use a 13 wave coulter sometimes in CoC, but remove it for all other conditions. And of course, Keeton firmers.
