Assuming ASD = autism spectrum disorder. I would recommend checking for fragile X syndrome, It is the leading cause of Autism and is genetic. Early Intervention is a big help, that can start really early 12-18 months. Normally when they turn three they start at a special preschool where they can get a lot of different therapies. What ever the diagnoses never give up hope or set limitations on your child, they will surprise you. If you weren't talking about Autism, I apologize and disregard everything I just said:) By the way I have two boys with fragile X.
