Subject: RE: Question about Spike closing wheels

SW Ohio
I run one martin spader and one factory rubber tire closer on mine. I have a lot of "white" ground that crusts over really bad and I havent had any issues since I went to the martins. We never really tried anything different on the old 750 drills and when we bought our 12/24 3600 it had them on it. Liked them so well we put them on our 3200 corn planter. Traded that planter for a new 1775 and just moved the martins over to it. I will say the 3600 is an '09 model and the martins are showing their wear. It has planted 500-600 acres/season its entire life. You dont notice it until you go buy new ones lol
