Subject: Versatile 900 value?

NW KS/ SC ID
Hey all,

We picked up a Versatile 900 at an auction, and once a buddy of ours found out about it, he wants to have it.

What is a fair price on the ol 900? I know what we paid (disclosed info! :) ) but am curious to see what you guys think its honestly worth.

Its a 1973, has the 12 bolt wheels, 20.8x38 bias (10-15 percent Firestones outside, 70 percent Co-op (GY Dynatorque II copycats) insides, insides loaded with calcium.

It supposedly has the better transmission with the suction tube at the back right corner.

The engine is a 1978 903 and is turbocharged, so obviously swapped from something else. Seems to run ok. (smokes white when you first fire it up, but does start right up, cleans out when its warmed up. feeling the manifold after roading it, the front left hole seems cooler. IDK if its injectors or what)
The previous owner put a corner exhaust on it, did a fair job, but probably needs re-engineered slightly. (IMO needs more support)

The HVAC needs attention, they cobbled on some sort of air filter setup on that looks like crap, but it has newer hoses and compressor on it, so it may work without alot of effort.

Then there is little crap like the bad keyswitch (connect 2 wires to go) leaking hyd. valves on the back of the cab, etc.

Interior needs insulation, PO made a floor mat out of a cushion floor mat from a factory/ warehouse, and swapped in a air ride truck seat with no air supply, so you ride around with it flat so you dont wear out your knees. (aka NAT approved? :D )

It has been re-painted once about 20 years ago, and wasnt re-decal-ed, so it looks a little off. wheel paint doesnt quite match either, so it isnt exactly beautiful.

So basically it will go to the field and work, but it needs some work to make it nicer to use (and look at :) ) . Gotta use earmuffs and dress lightly and take plenty of water as of right now.

Any input appreciated,

Thanks!
