Subject: RE:That was last week.

Death comes to us all. Life's but a walking shadow
But to answer the question I have small offers in for both old & new crop corn as well as a little new crop beans. Maybe a 50% chance of a hit.
However my questions today are: 1) Has anyone carefully studied the effect of the current dollar value will have on new crop prices? There was some talk about it but anything authoritative?
2) Has the USDA perspective report ever been radically different than other predictions this time of year? The last I heard they were talking 89 & 84 for corn & beans respectively. I think the 89 for corn is reasonable but I think 84 for beans is far too low. Hasn't the market already factored in these numbers? What can the USDA discover that the other farmer surveys haven't?
Which way and how far will the market move if acres are corn 89, beans 84; corn 90,beans 86; corn 87, beans 88? And by how much?
