| Possibly, I can't check because I have now set up my browser to download PDF files systematically instead of viewing them, because I was generally not happy with the way they displayed in browsers, especially 2 page-wide magazines. But usually PDFs are set to a specific page format, and many publishers still use old generation paper formatting such as 2 or 3 column articles, where you have to scroll down one column then scroll back up to the next column.
Sure, you can have the same mess in HTML, and I curse against these publishers too, but it takes more effort to break such fundamentals, it's not the default layout. | |
