Thanks, but I should have said I'm using W7 (don't get me started on W8). A setting for automatic column width in WinExplorer would have been very helpful many Windows versions ago. The libraries drive me crazy and are an unnecessary complication, IMHO. I found a registry hack online to get rid of the libraries, but they reappeared after a later update. One of these days I'll pay up and get a good file manager.
