I use 2 different apps. "Our Groceries" is a good one for shopping lists. You can set up lists for different stores, ex: Tractor Supply, Farm &Fleet, Walmart, etc, and you type in the item. Then when you purchase it you tap on it and it leaves the "need" list and drops to the crossed-off list. You don't have to type it in next time you need it. But the best thing is, it syncs to other devices such as your desktop or wife's smartphone.
The other app is "Evernote ". This is great for everything. It's like a filing cabinet on you phone, whatever you want to put in it. Set up notebooks for machinery, fields, cattle, etc. it also syncs with other devices so if you take a note on your phone, it's on your desktop when you get home - no re typing. Both apps are free.
