NC Kansas | Bad as in no milk coming out of some the quarters? or just oversized teats that are difficult to latch on to?
If it's the latter and the calves have figured out how to suck, I'd let them raise the calves for you. If you want to breed them back and sell them as bred cows this fall that up to you and if you feel ok passing your troubles on down the line...
We have one that needs to go as well, she may have one bad quarter and the other three are over sized, but we'll cull her this fall after she raises the calf (He's up and sucking good). She's old enough she'll only be a weigh up cow. | |
