Subject: Another Drilled bean Question

new Jersey
I completely understand why farmers in a no till corn soybean rotation prefer to plant into tall corn stalks.

The issue I have is cover crops. I spread rye on top of corn stalks last fall then ran a turbo max to get soil contact. I didnt have a drill yet, so that was my only option besides airplane. $28 acre here.

Even if I drilled rye, stalks would be down. So how are other notill cover croppers doing this successfully?

Am I asking for trouble drilling into VT stalks this spring from fall?

Im just trying to learn. Thanks
