Subject: RE: feeding bottle calves in double L pig nursery

NE
I did just the opposite....converted a DBL L calf into a pig. It had the heavy orange tenderfoot flooring, individual narrow pens with feeders/water in each door, looked like a nice setup to me. The guy went broke buying bottle calves and the wife was tired of looking at the building bringing back bad memories? This was 5-6 years ago I suppose. Building was in awesome shape with center aisle and pens on both sides.
I gutted the calf equipment and sold it at consignment auction.....two dairy guys fought over it....think it brought $3500 in a pile if I remember? I know I was surprised and very happy but I was told that flooring was super expensive as heavy as it was. Building was 16 x66 with scraper system in shallow pit.
Good Luck
