North Mo. | did you read the rest of the post? I normally expect to feed a bale for a cow per season so 150 cows maybe if unlucky 150 bales. So that is 30 to 50$ per head feed cost for the winter plus pasture rent 3/12 of say 60$ per year. Figures 65$ wintering cost vs a guy the other day that said he fed 7 bales per cow per year. Now I do know he feeds not so good a hay so lets say 30$ that 210 plus I bet there is a supplement to help the hay. Assume both of us feed mineral of some kind to lazy to fig that cost.
You guys in south Mo. should beat that on the hay feeding if you have the pasture. | |
