North Mo. | was shown at the Cover crop mtg today.
1. grazed with lot of rest thus lots of cover
2. grass baled once, not grazed afterwards lots of cover
3. hay baled and grazed rest of year do not remember if continuous or not
4. continuous grazed beat into the ground, most pastures I see
I easily predicted the one which had almost no soil loss and little run off. Of course was 1. What I did not believe if I had not seen it was there was little difference in the hayed and rest no. 2 and 3 and 4. 4 looked like dirt in a jar and was the jar was almost full. Based on 6 to 7 tenths of a inch of rain in the rain gauges. Was really a eye opener. | |
