Subject: Frozen colostrum

12 inches of snow last night had to work second shift 3p to 3am. Found new calf this morning up and going may loose part of her ears but o well. While feeding notice that bred heifer is missing. Finally find her in labor watch for a while finally walk over and decide calf is gonna need to be pulled. Hard pull calf up
Heifer takes off doesn't even look at it. So take calf in shop feed it some powder colostrum. Calf seems to be doing good. My question is I have some frozen colostrum that is a year old would the calf benefit from it or is it too old? Kinda doubt the effectiveness of powdered colostrum
