I have an Agco White 6085, I use it on the snowblower. Yesterday the blower shaft worked it's way off the gear box on the blower, and broke the 540 shaft coming out of the back of the trans housing. I thought, no prob, I have a parts tractor at home I'll just unbolt the stub shaft, and get going. I had not looked closely at the tractor I was using, it does not have the stub shaft with unboltable output shaft like my parts tractor. So now I am wondering if I can change to other style, since I have parts on hand. Of course there is a nut on the shaft inside the transaxle which must be removed, so it is a bigger job. I know this is a rare tractor, but wondering if anyone has done this. The new shaft is $390, but I'd prefer the bolt on stub shaft design. And I have those parts on hand. If anyone has any info, I'd appreciate it. |
