Hey all,

Dumb question: we have a router with a bunch of USB ports on the back.

Can a guy hook an external hard drive to one of these, and use it to store documents on to be accessed by computers that use this router?

I am thinking simple stuff, like machinery records, bills, etc.

If this is possible, is remote access possible as well? (accessing the router via internet) The reason I ask is that we have some equipment at the family farm 1000 miles away, and it seems the record book never gets updated, and with the combines that we use, it would be nice to go through and see what it needs before harvest.

Worse case I can put it all down on my computer, but I would like it to be accessable to all members of the operation.

Any input appreciated.

Thanks!
