SW Ont | When I took drivers ed (and I'm not saying how long ago) the reason for not using 2 feet for an automatic went somethling like:
Gas pedal foot, partly off the gas pedal and partly under the brake pedal.
Push the brake pedal, which pushes on the foot under brake/over gas.
Throttle is floored, brake is unable to be pushed far enough to be effective.
It all happens fast, and in the panic of the moment....
