Subject: Is there something wrong with my Dodge Hemi

SW WI
Bought a 2006 Dodge 2500 last Oct. It's 4wd with a 6 speed manual. I have been hard pressed to average 11mpg not pulling a trailer. Yesterday, I took off with a car trailer type trailer. When the trailer was empty I was getting 6.5-7 at 75mph on the interstate. I loaded up a 250-275 bu gravity box and took off for home. I couldn't leave 4th gear, and at 60 mph it was running 3500 RPMs and I got just under 4mpg. When I would stop I could smell gas, like it's not burning it all. I have no check engine light, no codes. It's an 06 with 137k. I don't know the maintenance history of the truck. It's got some bullydog GT H+ tuner in it. Had it when I bought it. I don't have a light foot, I don't baby it but I dong beat it. Is this normal or does it need something fixed? Before this I had a 01 with a 360 and a 5 speed manual and hauling 18 big squares I would get 7 with that and 15 empty. Thank a lot.
