Subject: RE: Sony Bravia...smart tv & telephone caller i.d.?

Chebanse, IL.....

But, my tv is hooked to my internet...wirelessly....right? Yes, I know it is. It can receive entire movies with no wires. My internet service is Comcast. That same Comcast service is my telephone. I have 2 of their 3 offerings. They also offer tv service, but I don't use that since I have DISH. There is NO wire between my telephone & my computer, yet if you called me & left a message, that message would appear in my email INbox. How did that happen?

So, do you see why I think my tv is capable of knowing thru it's wireless internet connection that someone is calling & what their caller i.d. might be?

I realize that a few years back, a hard wired connection to a satellite connection was necessary, but that was before wireless internet. Though, a phone cable to the DISH receiver was only required if you wanted to order movies, or view caller i.d. I don't think anyone orders movies via phone any longer either.
