Southern Mn | All this talk of a Bonus is the biggest joke of all. As farmers we are among the biggest gamblers out there. If you set a rent , again YOU SET A RENT, for your ground, it makes no dang difference in the fall if the tenant gets a bumper crop or if he gets 7 bucks for his corn, or for that matter if he gets 3.50. Using your rational, the fert dealers should then be able to come back in the fall and charge you more for your inputs. Make a contract, live by it, and if you rented ground for 300 or more like some fools around here, on a three year contract, LIVE WITH IT. Flame me all you want you pushed the small guys out of the way to run half the township, with your 16 row equipment and 3 semi's now finish your contract, dont expect the tenant to lower your rent on the silly premise that if you make a kings ransom you will give him a hog turkey or cash, its stupid. | |
