New castle PA
I think it is unwise to paint all tillage with a negative brush. When I use tillage it is for winter annuals. I use tillage for a manual "burndown." My disk is not going to look for weeds that look like rice, it wipes everything out. I have found on my operation this is the best way to keep Marestail under control. I no till corn, because "here" all weeds are currently easy to control with herbicide.

Maybe next year the dicamba beans will get me to all no till, and I hope so. I just do not trust at this point in time a cocktail of herbicides that need to be on 2 plus weeks before I plant....
