SE SD | Most of the wind farms are started by local people (investors) and then are sold to another company as locals don't have the money to build wind farm. This is how most get land signed up locals come around and tell you how good of deal this and that will be. just had 43 towers installed by me. Most didn't even read the contract, or didn't care as they were older landlords, not many people in the area, I am one of the few who didn't sign up but stuck looking at the eye sores. Seems like they put roads where they want, had one they had 2 roads going to, tore one out, cant imagine how that will be to farm. I would proceed with caution. Usually the leases are in there favor. If your on township board make sure you get a good road haul agreement in place before they start work, and make them be bonded. | |
