You might look at an agrigold book as they have ratings for nitrogen timing for different hybrids.

Family's of corn are all a little different weather it's a B, G, F, A.
Soil type prob plays a factor too.

I've soil sampled the day of planting on the plots and it was interesting to see the N soil lbs vrs different guys farms. Some use nh3-fall, some spring, and other dry. Too many other factors and wonder how accurate it is but gets a guy thinking.
