I had a Panasonic for about 10 years. It was a good unit, but the final year it seemed to lack cooking power and would occasionally make a big "CRACK" that sounded like lightning. Pretty scary. So I bought a cheap West Bend from Walmart and it has been working good for over a year now. I like the "one touch" cook: hit the "1" button for one minute, "2" for two minutes, ect.
