We redid the main floor in our old farm house that had who knows what stuck to it. I agree with not stopping the sander while it is running. I thought our floor looked really good until I put a coat of poly on it. If you really look you can see exactly where the sander stopped to take a little extra off the floor or when you changed directions. We just think it added "character" to our old farm house.
