| I don't know of any computer (other than Apple) that doesn't come loaded with a bunch of junk.
First step for me, regardless of brand is to download the latest .iso of whatever Windows version I'm using, download the newest BIOS and all the latest drivers, make sure I back up my Windows registration info (.iso's that are downloaded are often a bit different than the Version that comes on your computer and may not allow you to register with the code stuck to the back of your computer) and then re-partition, reformat and re-install Windows.
It's a pain, but you learn something and "you know what you've got".
Did this on my T430 a few years ago now. I'm sure I'll do it on the next one as well. | |
