Lone Wolf, Ok | We don't normally have enough dental issues to warrant dental insurance -- but have son who was under 21 (Dec 21 birthday turned 21 then) last year so was forced to take it. No issues, so
Dec 15 had him get his teeth cleaned /x rayed figuring that at least I would get that out of paying the premium for a year.
Jan 1 Dentist sends me bill -- I ask why, -- Says No Insurance
Dentist book keeper sends bill to wrong insurance co first. - (I got the denied EOB)
Feb 1 I called BCBS and got fax # to send bill to --
Called a week later - confirmed receipt
Called a week after that -- has not been 'input'
Feb 11 Called a week after that -- Input is done, not processed -- attempted process while I was on the phone -- failed --- Over 19 -- and Not insured currently
Will send to computer tech
Called a week later -- 'should have been fixed by now'
Feb 23 Dentist received EOB Denying claim
This is a outsourced (3rd party) company -- Extreme trouble in getting through to the right people -- many many departments -- phone transfers become disconnected nightmares --
They say give them 30 days from the date the issue went to the computer tech -- --- No way to process this simple claim manually
I call BS
