Subject: How to simulate yield loss in new farm program?

Texas/New Mexico Stateline
I've tried the farm program simulators and I can't figure out how to get an accurate feel for the different programs if I can't put in a catastrophic yield loss in the ARC program. ??? They only seem to care about prices.

In our part of the world our dryland crops are either a home run or a huge countywide loss it seems. It is my understanding that if we suppose a countywide wheat yield that is 20% of the olympic average then that would trigger a payment in ARC.????

If there is a way to simulate future county averages I have not found it yet. Maybe somebody can help me out.

My biggest risk is droughts, not so much prices. So I'm thinking ARC would be better. But I would like to simulate it if I could.
