Subject: RE: February Corn Price

Central Minnesota
I hauled in one load of corn today to the local rail shuttle. I was the only truck there this afternoon. And according to their lack of bunkers being filled, I don't know what to think. They have two pretty big bunkers, and they are empty. Not a kernel in them.

They are also offering free delayed pricing until august. I'm not sure what to make of that whole situation. Do they want the corn, and to use it to fill shuttles, or deliver to the local ethanol plant? If they get a bunch in, will that hurt basis? Not sure what a guy should be thinking right now. I'm thinking we are going to haul in, and get rid of the little bit we have from last year, and delay price it. Maybe catch a February rally?

Where's that monster crop at?
