Subject: Guidance line questions

NW IL, Mercer County
Kind of a rant I guess, but how come these $4000 GPS displays don't let you "draw" an A-B line? More specifically, say you want to plant at a slight angle, instead of either typing in a manual heading or pointing the tractor at the exact angle you want to use, why cant I just touch my finger on the screen to drop an A point and touch my finger again somewhere else in the field to drop a B point (while sitting on the endrow unfolding the planter or something)? Or you know the fence line is straight, but theres a couple trees and some other small obstacles that you have to go around on your first pass, why cant you just simply place your finger on the "corner post" of the field for A point, then drop B on the other "corner post?" Seems like when I drive the first pass setting my straight line A-B, I always seem to be a couple feet off from where I want to be on one end. Is this a legitimate issue or is it me???
