NE OH | I have a 1988 White 100 with a 6B Cummins(no turbo CVA fuel pump) with 2500 hours. It's been increasing smoking more at idle. The smoke is black/gray in color. It dosn't smoke much when it's working or the idle is at 1000 and up. Seems to have good power, the air filter is clean and it starts fine.
My first thought is that I should adjust the valves. No big deal and wouldn't hurt any how. The second thought is that the nozzles may not be spraying correctly or that my pump timing might be off slightly(adjusted by rotating pump slightly?).
Anyone have any thoughts on this? | |
