Coop recommends 150 MAP $47
100 Potash $25
Micro Mix $16.50
100 AMS $22
Application $8.00

That comes up to $118.50. So if the weather doesn't cooperate, I won't make 200 but if it does 230. So maybe leaning on full fertilizer and tweaking the fertilizer mix.

Thanks, Dave

If you want to save some money why not spread the fertilizer yourself. Iam surprised at how many guys dont do that. It saves money and is quick to do. I grow forage. For the time it takes me to spread and the saving I keep it works out to $1000/day to spread my fertilizer. What other job can I do that can net that after all expenses?

My point is when times are tight. There are loads of other things to cut back on to save money besides fertilizer.

Now what you need is a soil test and a plant tissue test or feed test (easier to do for a forage guy). This way you can see what is short and customize your fertilizer. For example I need to cut back on some K and add some more P. Spend close to same amount on fertilizer but should get 10% or more yeild. There are just lots of thing to look at.
