Hello Terry,

I know that you aren't interested in incorporating the oat biomass but shallow incorporation of spring planted oats ahead of corn is not an uncommon practice on organic farms.

We had good success the 2 times that we disked in spring planted oats at ~ 9" and then planted corn.

If the weather cooperates, we will incorporate strips of spring planted oats and strips of spring planted mustard before planting corn in one field this spring.
