I am only familiar with Greenstar Nav2 is which part of the system ?Do I need a Trimble steering valve ?The mapping system uses a Raven receiver , will I need a different receiver? Thanks , sorry for all the questions ,just trying to wrap my small mind around it.

The NavII is the terrain compensation unit, and also drives the steering valve.

If you have a guidance-ready Case IH tractor, it has the valve, plumbing, steering sensor, override sensor, and seat switch all installed. You would need to add the NavII, display, and receiver to make it ready to steer.

You must use a Case IH or Trimble receiver (the AFS372 is recommended) for autoguidance. If you just want mapping, then your Raven receiver will work fine.
