My mom is an excellent cook, but has been in assisted living since Feb of last year. I guess of all the things she made I miss her fried okra the most, she sliced it crossways about 1/8" thick or a little more and made it in patties fried with corn meal and egg, I could live on that stuff!
What do you miss prepared by generations past ?
