I recommend you become the "water boy" for your folks. Whenever you're at their place, insist that they drink at least 1 glass of water during that time. Drink it all at once or sip it, but it must be consumed while you're there. They probably have little appetite since the flu can make even your favorite food undesirable, and the result is often less fluid intake. Keep reminding them to drink a lot of water, etc when you're not there. The last thing you want is either of your folks to become dehydrated and have the problems that it can cause.

Raise the humidity level in the house. Boil water on the stove, as long as it's being monitored so the pan doesn't boil dry, or put water in some shallow pans with a fan blowing across them, or whatever else that's handy to raise the humidity. Higher humidity will help when someone has a cold or the flu.

If possible, have your folks set up as much as possible. That can help keep the lungs clearer and lessen the risk of pneumonia.

You've got a tough situation to deal with. I hope and pray everyone is feeling better soon.
