Central East River South Dakota | Went down to the Purina answer farm last spring for calf raising tour. On of the guys that talked had been with the company for 40 years working in the mill and feed labs. He was talking about all the patents and inventions they came up with. At the end of the show he took three eggs. Cracked the first one, bright yellow like you would normally see. The next one, blood red, a few "eeewwws" from the crowd. The third one was JD green. We asked one of the farm directors latter, what's the story? He said it is all in the feed. They have figured out some kind of coloring or something that they can feed them so they always have that nice gold color, or if they want any color |
