I live 3 minutes from a Wal-mart Supercentre, and 15 from a Target.  If Target wanted my business, they needed better groceries and more clothes my size (XL-tall).  Well they never had either, and the store placement was in an upscale mall.  

For me, 7 am on weekends is the best time to shop, and Wal-mart offers that - not Costco, not Target.  So even though I don't agree totally with Wal-mart, and the American stores scare me, I gotta go with the cheapest, most convenient store.
